Local Farm Competitions

1. All corn must come direct from Exhibitor’s Farm Business.
2. Restricted to within a 15 mile radius from Newbury Corn Exchange or having a Berkshire address.
3. No competitor to take more than one prize in any class from the same farm, unless of a different variety.
4. Crops to have been grown by each competitor in and harvested this season.
5. All corn to be shown in bags which will be supplied by the Society and contain a minimum of 5kgs.
6. The sample bag of corn to be taken from stored crop lots consisting of not less than 5 tonnes.

Long Service Awards (Agricultural Workers)
Entries close: 5 September 2025.
• Any employee who has completed 60 years of service.
This will take the form of a medal and £70 cash award.
• Any employee who has completed a minimum of 40 years’ service.
This will take the form of a medal and £50 cash award.
• Employees who have completed 25 years’ service, without intermission on the same farm and under the same employer.
This will take the form of a Long Service Certificate and £25 cash award.

The employer must be a member of The Newbury & District Agricultural Society. (Employees receiving a Long Service Medal in 2019, 2023 or 2024 are not eligible).
Nominees will be offered 2 tickets to attend Newbury Show on Sunday 21 September 2025. There is no obligation for the nominee to collect the prize in person even if they attend the show.
