Palemaking Competition

The Palemaking competition is like no other at the Show. Testing the competitors speed, accuracy and skill, the Palemaking competition asks it contenders to produce as many pale bundles as they can to as high a quality as possible in just 40 minutes. Each bundle must contain 25 pales and each pale must be as close to 10cm wide as possible. Using a froe and froe club, the competitors split wood along the grain to produce pales which are used to hold up fences.
