This class is a qualifier for the Shire Horse Society’s Summer Brood Mare Supreme Championship with the final being held at the 2026 National Summer Show at Rockingham Castle on 27th August 2026, where the ultimate winner will receive prize money of £1,000 with £500 to second, £250 to 3rd, £100 to 4th, £50 to 5th and then £25 from 6th-10th.

The Rosedale Damp-proofing Challenge Cup will be awarded to the winner of this class

Judged on turnout, handling skills, ring craft and presentation. The horse will not be judged.
The Shire Horse Society's Young Handler's Accumulator Award 2026 - Points will be awarded to the top five, with points awarded as follows: - 1st-5 points, 2nd-4 points, 3rd- 3 points, 4th-2 points, and 5th-1 point.
The Champion Young Handler with the most points at the end of the year will win the trophy. Affiliated shows must submit the results of the Young Handler classes when they submit their Silver Spoon award forms.

Ridden by a child 8 years old or under. Pony to be shown fully plaited

Open to all ponies and horses over the age of 15 years. This class will be judged on the condition and turnout of the animal. Lead reins accepted providing the rider is under 8 years of age. Entry must be made on Form.
