The class is open to purebred Shire Horse stallions, mares and geldings, 2 years old and over that are registered in, and complying with the showing requirements of the Shire Horse Society

◼ Qualification will not pass below 5th place
◼ Horses must be entered in their registered name and ownership
◼ Horses must be traditionally turned out with flights
◼ Docks must be covered with a fan of hair (per Society rules)
◼ Turning of coats is not permitted
◼ Horses may be subject to farrier & veterinary foot inspection at qualifiers & the final
◼ Must be correctly shod to Society standards
◼ Unshod horses are not permitted
◼ Part-bred horses and Grade A, B or C entries are not eligible
◼ Geldings must be in the Non-Breeding Register
◼ All horses must be pure bred with registered parentage
