EQUINE INFLUENZA:
All equines attending Dorset County Show must be vaccinated against Equine Influenza in accordance with the rules below. Horses must have received two primary vaccinations at the intervals shown below, based on the date their course commenced. A third vaccination must then be administered within the stated interval, with subsequent boosters given at intervals of no more than twelve months.

Horses may compete having received the primary course (1st and 2nd vaccinations) and before the first booster, but not within 7 days of receiving any vaccine dose. For this Show, the final permissible vaccination dates are 29th August for Saturday competitors and 30th August for Sunday competitors. Foals: In-foal mares that have already completed their primary Equine Influenza course should receive a booster 4 - 6 weeks before foaling. Foals should begin their primary course at 6 months of age. All owners are urged to maintain strict biosecurity protocols. Vaccination compliance is subject to local risk assessment by the attending veterinarians.
Passport checks: passports must accompany equines to the show and be available for inspection at any time. Horses with missing, incorrect or non-compliant vaccination records will not be permitted on the showground. The show reserves the right to carry out random or full passport checks and to refuse entry where vaccination requirements are not met.
Entries will be accepted on the day for unaffiliated Show Jumping classes
