Fossils

O, its bones may be colossal,
But the trouble with a fossil
Is that it doesn't give a clue
As to the creature's actual hue.

Those Pterodactyl things that flew,
Were they red, green or blue?
And that Brontosaurus fellow, .
Did he come in mauve or yellow?

As for the Stegosaurus types,
Maybe they had snazzy stripes?
And was Tyrannosaurus Rex
Perhaps adorned with spots or checks?

The king of all the dinosaurs
Tyrannosaurus rex.

The largest of all the carnivores,
It stomps and chomps on forest floors...
The king of all the dinosaurs
Tyrannosaurus rex.

Charges forwards waging wars,
Gouges, gorges, gashes, gores...
The king of all the dinosaurs
Tyrannosaurus rex.

With taloned feet and razor claws,
Leathery scales, monstrous jaws,
Sabre teeth no one ignores,
It rants and raves and royally roars...
The king of all the dinosaurs
