Every animal must be entered, accepted for entry, or eligible for entry in the Davy's Devon Herd Book, its polled register or one of its supplementary registers AND be at least 87.5% pure Devon bred by any route or an officially approved Devon herd book of an EU Member State.
The Devon Cattle Breeders' Society will award the Holwell Manor (West) Cup (won outright by R T and M P Wilson and represented as the Bartridge Decanter) to the member gaining the most points from the following Shows: Camelford, Holsworthy & Stratton, Launceston, North Devon, Okehampton and Woolsery. Points awarded as follows: (1 point per entry forward - cow and calf = 1 point). First prize = 5 points, Second Prize = 4 points, Third Prize = 3 points. Where a pairs or group class is scheduled as a specific class then points will be awarded for these.

The final classes and overall prize giving will take place at Holsworthy & Stratton Show on August 22nd.

Mole Valley Farmers (www.molevalleyfarmers.com) will once again be running its Young Handlers Series in 2023. This exciting league, which is open to young stock handlers (aged 12 and under on the first January 20123), features sheep, beef and dairy categories and aims to nurture the next generation of young farmers. This year we are excited to be splitting the sheep series into two age categories, Under 8 and 8-12. Children placed first, second or third at participating shows in the Young Handler Series will be allotted points throughout the season.
The overall series winner in each category will receive a cup and sash, plus £100 of Mole Valley Farmers vouchers; £50 for second place and £25 for third place.
