PLEASE NOTE THAT SHEEP MUST REMAIN ON SHOWFIELD UNTIL 4PM
The sheep committee reserves the right to amalgamate classes where entries are insufficient

ENTRY FEE TO ALL CLASSES (except Junior Handler) £4. Junior Handler fee £1.50.
Please note. Entries made on the day will be £5.00 per entry and subject to availability of pens.
All entries must be on the official form and accompanied with the correct fee.
Exhibitors must ensure they have sufficient handlers.

TROPHIES
All trophies are to be held until May 31stof the year following the show. It is the winner’s responsibility to return them by this date to Stephensons’ Animal Feeds, Burnley Road, Todmorden or any committee member.

PRIZE MONEY
Classes of 10 entries or more, 1st £12 2nd £8, 3rd £5, 4th £3, Rosette for 5th and highly commended.
For Classes of 9 entries or less, 1st £12, 2nd £8, 3rd £5 Rosette for 4th.

Additional Sponsorship prizes will be awarded on the day

The show has approved MV/CAE Accreditation.
Sheep can be shown as MV accredited or non MV accredited, please specify on entry form.

Todmorden Agricultural Society has a detailed Animal Welfare Plan in place and reminds exhibitors that they remain the keepers of the stock and are therefore responsible for the health and welfare of their animals and ensuring compliance with the latest regulations.

• Tickets will not be provided to exhibitors, but free entry will be given on arrival with livestock vehicle. If exhibitors are traveling separately to livestock, they must contact the sheep lead to arrange entry to the show. (This will be done on an individual basis)
• Exhibitors must ensure animals have sufficient food and water and protection from extreme weather conditions. Water is provided; buckets are the exhibitor’s responsibility.
• Tail docking must comply with current legislation.
• Sheep tagging must also comply with current rules.
• All entries must be accompanied with a fully completed AML 1
• All sheep must remain on show field until 4pm.
• The show CPH is 49/357/8118
• In the case of 5 or more entries of one breed in all classes of native or continental sections from 3 or more exhibitors, a separate section will be set up.

Ruling for MV/CAE accredited stock.
The show is required to validate MV/CAE Health Declarations from exhibitors prior to unloading stock, collect them and return them to SAC Veterinary Services. To ensure compliance, please provide a current photocopy, either with your entry or on the day to the steward before unloading takes place. Information for printing extra copies has been sent to MV accredited registered people. The ear tag numbers on the form must comply with those on the sheep unloaded.
If the Health Declaration is sent with the entry, you are not required to produce another on the day, but ear tags will be checked.

Interbreed

The champion sheep from each section (excepting junior handler and best pair of females) will be eligible to show in the overall interbreed section. CUP C1 Todmorden Agricultural Society - best exhibit in the sheep section.

• It is a condition of acceptance of each entry, whether for the Show, or other competition or exhibition in connection therewith, that neither the Society nor its officers or servants shall be responsible for any damage, injury or loss to any exhibitor or competitor, or any exhibit or other property belonging to any exhibitor or competitor, howsoever the same shall arise or be caused, whether by the negligent, wilful, accidental act or omission of the Society, its officers or servants, or otherwise.
• The Society, its officers and servants, or any of them, shall not be liable to any person, whether an exhibitor or competitor or not for damage, injury or loss that person or his property at or in connection with the holding of the Show howsoever the same shall arise or be caused whether by the negligent, wilful or accidental act or omission of the Society, its officers or servants, or otherwise.
• Exhibitors must have at least third party insurance.
