DAIRY GOATS
The Goat Classes are held under the Rules, Regulations and Recognition of the British Goat Society. All exhibits must be registered with the British Goat Society as in the ownership and in the name of the exhibitor, the registered name and number being quoted on the entry form (also the kidding date for goats in milk). All goats in milk to have kidded or aborted a minimum of 30 days previous to the day of the Show.
This show has B/W health status. Entry is restricted to those goats with current B.G.S. C.A.E. - negative certification. Current proof of this is to be submitted with entry form.
GOAT HEALTH CLASSIFICATION - “W”
Entries will be restricted to those goats with current BGS. CAE- monitored status and goats from herds that are whole herd tested within the 12 months prior to the show.
No entries will be accepted unless CAE Blood Test results are on BGS submission forms or sheep and goat health scheme forms.
This is to enable quick and accurate confirmation of the status of the goats attending this show.
SPECIAL PRIZES
A ROSETTE for the Best Goat in Show. A CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE for
the Best Goat that has borne a kid.
A CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE for
the Best Inspection/Production Goat.
A BREED CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE for
the Best Goat that has borne a kid in each of the following breeds: Anglo Nubian, Saanan, Toggenburg, British-Alpine, British-Guernsey, British Saanan, British Toggenburg and Golden
Guernsey. A CERTIFICATE OF MERIT for the Best British Milker that has borne a kid over one year old.

J. THOMPSON MEMORIAL TROPHY - Points
awarded at this Show to all Cleveland Dairy Goat Society members will count towards the above trophy.
NOTICES
All Goats in milk must be on the show ground by 6 pm on the eve of the Show and must be stripped out by an appointed steward by 6.30 pm.
All other exhibits to be on the Showground by
9.30 am on Show day.
Exhibitors please note that the Registered name, number, ear mark, date of birth, sires registered name, and number and for Goats in milk, date of kidding, must be put on the Entry Form.
Any kid exhibited must be not less than two calendar months old on the day of the Show. Bedding provided.
