BSPS MINI RIDING PONIES - LEAD REIN AND FIRST RIDDEN
Lead rein - no child under the age of 3 years may compete. In lead rein classes the leader must be 16 years old or over and may only lead one pony in a class. In all Leading Rein classes the rein MUST go directly from the bit to the riders hand, with no extra aid or attachment to or on the saddle. The reins must be a normal length and not knotted together or stitched together at a shorter length. Handles on saddles are permitted but the reins must not be attached to the handle or the saddle. The attendant must affix the lead rein to the NOSEBAND on which it must remain
Classes 16 and 17 are also qualifiers for the NPS Leading Rein and First Ridden National Championships

LONDON INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW BSPS PERFORMANCE CLASSES

METHOD OF JUDGING FOR PERFORMANCE CLASSES
Exhibitors will go round the ring as whole group, (no pull in). They will then undertake an individual display (rather than a show) where they need to show certain movements which will include walk, trot, canter on both reins, a cancer circle, canter transitions on the straight, extension in canter on one rein and free walk on a long rein and halt. Competitors in these classes will not be stripped. Shows may put on a Championship for the two highest exhibits in the performance classes.

METHOD OF JUDGING FOR PERFORMANCE CLASSES
Exhibitors will go round the ring as whole group, (no pull in). They will then undertake an individual display (rather than a show) where they need to show certain movements which will include walk, trot, canter on both reins, a cancer circle, canter transitions on the straight, extension in canter on one rein and free walk on a long rein and halt. Competitors in these classes will not be stripped. Shows may put on a Championship for the two highest exhibits in the performance classes.

A driver under the age of 18 must be accompanied in the vehicle by a competent and responsible person aged 18 years of over, a "responsible adult". Proof of age will be required if necessary. It is the responsibility of the owner/driver (if
over 18) of (if the owner/driver is under 18) the responsible adult to ensure that his/her groom/s is/are competent for the purpose of attending to the turnout and aged 10 or over on the day of the show.
When in the vehicle grooms, passenger/s and driver must have their feet firmly on the floor of the vehicle or use a suitable fixed footrest. This regulation applies at all times and in all areas on the showground.
Hard Hat Ruling
All drivers/grooms/passengers under the age of 14 years must wear a correctly fitted hard hat when in a carriage or in attendance to a turnout.
All Horses/Ponies should be 4 years old or over.

The vehicle may be made from modern materials but must have a traditional style springing and carriage lamps. Pneumatic tyres vehicles, trade turnouts and show wagons are not eligible.
LIGHT TRADE - TWO OR FOUR WHEELED TRADE VEHICLES
Open to horses and ponies, singles and pairs to a traditional or traditional type trade vehicle.
No goods to be carried or displayed. A small sample load may be carried on a coster turnout only.
EXERCISE VEHICLE CLASS - 2 or 4 WHEELED VEHICLES
Open to horses, ponies. A single, pair or tandem driven to a carriage of non-traditional type design and includes those with pneumatic tyres specifically designed for carriages
(i.e. not car types). Lamps need not be carried. Judging will include general cleanliness, safety of turnout, correct fitting of harness and vehicle suitability.
CHAMPIONSHIP-1st and 2nd prize winners from class 59-61
THE EZRA & MILLIE RICHARDSON MEMORIAL
TROPHY is awarded to the best in classes 59-61.
