Great Somerset Apple Bake- Off

Enter your favourite savoury or sweet apple based recipe into one of the following 4 categories for a chance to be a winner in our Great Somerset Apple Bake-off competition: 1) Chutneys/Jams/Preserves/ Jellies 2) Baked- Breads/Cakes/ Muffins 3) Savouries with apple 4) Pies,pastries or tarts .There will be 2 age groups for each category - under 12 or over aged 12. The entry is free for the competition and all entered produce will be sold at the show with proceeds to go to the Somerset Women's Institute. Certificates for first , second and third places and for everyone who enters. First prize in each category will be entered into a draw for a chance to win an envelope of fabulous vouchers ! Entries will need to be dropped to the show ground ( Taunton Racecourse) on Friday 16 September to the WI stand ( Paddocks Building- follow signs) between 11am and 5pm
You can purchase tickets with cash when you drop your entry in for the show for more than a half price discount should you like to come to show on Sat 17th or Sun 18th from 9-5
Adult tickets will be £6 ( usually £12.50 pp per day )
Children 6-16 only £2.50 ( usually £5 per child per day )
Under 5's are free
Children must come into show with paying adult .
Note :Your recipe must have your name and contact number on plus all ingredients and method used to bake/ make or sadly cant be entered if without providing this required information, Your recipe must include apple as an ingredient.
Judging will be on the basis on viewing the product and looking at recipe
Products wont be tasted as they will be sold off with proceeds to Somerset Womens Insitute
Please ensure your entry is covered with cling film to keep it clean and on a throw away plate
