Working Horse and Pony

Class 1A Working Pony Class 1B Working Horse

Class: 1A, Working Pony

Description:

122cms to under 148cms. Every section Ponies (or horses depending on class) 5 years and over. Riders 12 years or over on January 1st 2021. Riders will be asked to give a short show and jump two Fences at 2ft and 2ft 3in. The required show will be published on the website so competitors will have time to practice! Adults and children may enter and ride ponies in this class as long as their weight and size is appropriate. Decision of the judge is final on the suitability of horse and rider. Unsuitable combinations will be eliminated Class judged on 50% conformation, temperament, type and manners and 50% performance. Judges will ensure that conformation and temperament will allow the pony to be a competent all round performer, capable of doing most work including jumping and dressage. Harmony of pony and rider will be taken into account. Jumping style and approach is important and the judges will not ride. The same bridle must be worn throughout and snaffle bridles will not be penalised, no gags and martingales are optional. 1st will qualify at Judge's discretion.

Class: 1B, Working Horse

Description:

Description:

Description:

Hacks Exceeding 148cms not exceeding 16ocms, Riding Horse exceeding 148cms, 5 years or over. Riders 15 years or over on January 1st 2021.
Riding horse - tweed jacket, Hack - show jacket. The best of type will win. Rosettes to 6th place. 1st and 2nd qualify at judges discretion. At HOYS Championship rosettes will be awarded to both a Riding Horse and a Hack and they will both qualify for the final Championship at the judge's discretion.

Cobs

Description:

Show & maxi cobs, best of type will win. Maxi cobs should be true to type and all cobs should be hogged. Riders 15 years or over on the January 1st 2020 and horses 5 years or over.
Tweed jacket. Rosettes to 6th place. 1st and 2nd qualify at judges discretion.

Class 5 Racehorse to Riding horse

Description:

The SEIB Racehorse To Riding Horse Championship is a series for thoroughbreds that have raced in either point to point, flat or national hunt racing.
The competition is open to amateurs and professionals. The format of judging will be as for a riding horse class but the best of type will win.
Horses must be over 4 years old and 148cms or over, riders must be 15 years old and over. The first two horses will go forward to Horse of the Year Show: if the first two horses have already qualified, at the judges discretion, horses down the line will be eligible to compete at the HOYS Championship

TGCA

Classes 6A and 6B Traditional Gypsy Cobs

Class: 6A, TGCA - Piebald and Skewbald Traditional Cobs

Description:

Horses 5 years or over. Rosettes to 6th place and 1st will qualify at judge's discretion. Open to horses and ponies registered as a traditional gypsy cob within the TGCA stud book. Part-breds not eligible. Riders 12 years and over on January 1st 2021. Any queries about horse registration contact TGCAheadoffice@gmail.com. Ridden Breed Classes will be judged 60% correctness to type, conformation and movement 40% ride, manners, and way of going and overall presentation. Traditionals will be asked to perform an individual show. They will not be ridden by the judge or the judge's representative. The Traditional Gypsy Cob should be a strong, sturdy and powerful cob coupled with an abundance of luxuriant flowing mane, forelock, tail, and leg hair known as feather.

Search for a Star Mountain and Moorland Championship 2021 is designed to give amateur riders and owners an opportunity to compete at this prestigious event. Your Horse Live welcomes over 24,500 visitors and the main arena has seating for just under 3,000. All ponies exhibited in the SEIB Search for a Star M&M class must be registered in the main body of the Pure Bred M&M Stud Book of their respective breeds at the time of entry and entered in the name and ownership under which they are currently registered.

Part Bred Gypsy Cob

Description:

Horse or pony can be any colour or type as not limited to coloured horses. Not ridden by the judge - horse and rider to give a show. No stallions. No side saddles. Horse or pony must never have been to HOYS but can have competed
at Royal International Horse Show but must not have been placed. Amateur owner and rider to have never owned or ridden a horse that has been to HOYS since 2010. Horse can never have been produced but may have been backed by a professional before January 2021but must never have been exhibited by a professional in the ring. No professional help on the day. Rider, horse, owner must not be sponsored or be brand ambassadors since January 2020. Horse cannot be
stabled in a professional yard even on a DIY basis. . SEIB Insurance Brokers and the organisers have the right to use pictures and video of the event for promotional purposes. No lead reins.1st qualifies for 2021Your Horse Live, if it is cancelled qualification will go forward to 2022. Horses 5 years of age and over in year of competition. Description:

Pony must be 18 years of age or over in the year of the com petition. Amateur owner/rider as per SFAS qualifications. Owner/rider can have competed at HOYS in Search for a Star or TSR but not in an open class and still be eligible to compete in the veteran class. Horse can have competed at top level in any discipline but must now be amateur owned and ridden. No side-saddles. No stallions. Not ridden by the judge, pony and rider to give a show. No professional help on the day. Rider, pony, owner must not be sponsored or be brand ambassadors since January 2020. Pony cannot be stabled in a professional yard even on a DIY basis. Name in the passport as keeper/owner must match the name on the entry form. SEIB Insurance Brokers and the organisers have the right to use pictures and video of the event for promotional purposes. No lead reins. 1st qualifies for 2021 Your Horse Live, if it is cancelled qualification will go forward to 2022. Veteran Pony Riders aged over g on 1st January 2021. Class: 9B, SEIB Search For a Star Veteran Horse

Description:
