Showjumping Competitions
Stabling:
• Stabling contractors - Cheval Starbox Ltd.
• Exhibitors requiring horse stabling must notify their requirements on or before Sunday 3 May.
• Showjumping exhibitors can book stabling at a cost of £46.00 per stable, per night, to include straw or £120.00
per stable for all three nights, to include straw for each night.
• The horse stables are available for the following times:
Wednesday night bookings: 8am Wednesday until 6pm on the Thursday
Thursday night bookings: 6pm on the Thursday until 6pm on the Friday
Friday night bookings: 6pm on the Friday until classes have finished on the Saturday
• Stabling will only be available on the night before / day of showing. All exhibitors must vacate stables by
6.00pm unless they have reserved the stable for other nights.
• If stables are oversubscribed the Association reserves the right to restrict the booking of stables for those
exhibitors only showing on one day.
• Please note that stables are NON-TRANSFERABLE.
General Rulings:
• The Association reserves the right to restrict the number of entries in any class.
• All classes require competitors to declare, and will be drawn order, the drawn order will be published on the
R.C.A.A. website on the Tuesday morning of the show week.
• Entries in classes A - H are restricted to horses and ponies registered with British Showjumping and ridden by
members in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79.
• All competitors must wear uniform or hunting costume or appropriate hats and coats. Failure to comply may
involve elimination.
• All competitors must wear a protective helmet manufactured to the current approved BSI or European Standard.
Such headgear must be worn with the chin strap correctly and securely fastened at all times.
• The use of helmet mounted cameras at British Showjumping Events is not allowed.
• No horse may be exercised other than in a collecting ring.
• No horse should be left unattended other than when securely contained within a horse vehicle or stable.
• No member shall allow a stallion for which they are responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to
compete or be prepared to compete, in any showjumping competition without taking adequate precautions to
ensure other members of the public are not put at risk of injury.
• During jumping competitions, three competitors must always be ready to enter the ring. If a competitor does not
respond when their 'Order Number' is called, they lose their turn and the horse bearing the number called may
be eliminated.
• There will be a time limit for all jumping competitions. The time limit for each competition will be announced
before the competition starts.
• Automatic timing apparatus will be in operation.
• Prize giving in all classes will be mandatory “Mounted” in accordance with rule 101.7.

• Please note that entries will not be printed in the show catalogue, this is to enable us to keep the entries open
longer.
