IMPORTANT NOTICES TO HORSE EXHIBITORS
Stabling
Stabling contractors - Cheval Starbox Ltd.
Exhibitors requiring Horse Boxes must notify their requirements AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.
Stabling will only be available on the night before / day of showing. All exhibitors must vacate boxes by 6.00 pm unless they have reserved the box for other nights.
Please note that stables are NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Any exhibitor may book boxes if desired and pay £44.00 per box, per night, to include straw. The proviso is that if boxes are oversubscribed the Association reserves the right to restrict the booking of stables for those exhibitors only showing on one day. The horse boxes are available for the following times, bookings for Wednesday night, boxes are available from arrival on the Wednesday until 6pm on the Thursday. For Thursday night bookings, boxes are available from 6pm on the Thursday until 6pm on the Friday. For Friday night bookings, boxes are available from 6pm on the Friday until classes have finished on the Saturday.
Equine Passports
It is the responsibility of the Exhibitors to bring their Horse Passports with them to the Show. Random spot checks are likely to be undertaken by enforcing agencies and if Veterinary medical treatment may be required.
Arrival, Departure and Parades
Horse exhibits may arrive on the day of judging at the time stated for each section.
The Showground will be open for the reception of Horses / Ponies at the following times:
From 8.00 am on Wednesday 7 June until 9.00 am on Thursday 8 June.

Friday 9 June until 9.00 am
Saturday 10 June until 9.00 am
Horse exhibitors please note that the above timings relate to parking within the Showground itself (when space permits). There are no arrival or departure time restrictions for exhibitors parked within overflow parking areas although no horses / ponies should arrive before 8.00 am on Wednesday 7 June.
The first TWO Prize Winners in each Class will be required to join the appropriate Horse / Pony Parade and failure to parade, without written authority from the Secretary will result in Prize Money being forfeited. Others may leave after noon each day.
The judging of any class may be advanced by 15 minutes ahead of the time shown in the programme.
Caravans
Exhibitors bringing their caravan to the Show must place it in the Livestock Caravan Park at a fee of £15.00 per night. Applications for passes should be made to the Secretary.
Passes
The following passes will be allocated to all horse exhibitors, any additional passes required must be purchased alongside your entries, and tickets will be sent out together with your entry information.

Royal International Horse Show Qualifying
The following classes are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show: 4 - 8, 11 - 17, 43 & 45.
Competitors qualifying at this show for the Longines Royal International Horse Show
25 - 30 July 2023 must submit their entries by recorded post with full payment within 24 hours of qualifying to The Showing Secretary, All England Jumping Course, Hickstead, West Sussex RH17 5NU. Horse of the Year Show Qualifying
Class 9 is a qualifying event for this year’s Horse of the Year Show, NEC Birmingham 4 - 8 October 2023. The first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify, if the first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward. No Horse lower than third place will qualify. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show Office.
This class entitles eligible amateur combinations to earn points for the Premier Amateur League, with the opportunity of gaining a wild card place at HOYS 2023. This is open to current TSR members or those that have signed up to the Premier Amateur League 2023, for more information see www.theshowingregister.co.uk.
Class 9 will be run in accordance with the general notes set out in the Horse of the Year Show Rule Book, a copy of which can be downloaded from hoys.co.uk. Included in the entry fee is a £16 contribution to Horse of the Year Show.
Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge
The following classes are qualifiers for the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge: 4 - 12, 15 - 17.
The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from the above mentioned classes will qualify for the final of the IDHS (GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) National Championship Show on 2 & 3 September 2023 at Onley Equestrian Centre, Onley Grounds Farm, Willoughby, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV23 8AJ.
A horse may only qualify for the final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Qualifiers will be contacted by a member of the IDHS Show Team. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.org.uk to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the final.
In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money, and a trophy, the Reserve Champion will be awarded £500, and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed Purebred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and £100, and the highest placed Sport Horse will receive a trophy and £50.
The IDHS (GB) Sport Horse Youngstock Challenge
This show is a Qualifier for The IDHS (GB) Sport Horse Youngstock Challenge. The two highest placed Sport Horses from each age group that have not already qualified in Classes 18 - 20 & 23 - 27, yearlings, two year olds and three year olds (must have a minimum of 25% proven ID breeding) - or if one or both have already qualified, the horse next in line in each age group will qualify to go forward to the final, which will be held at the IDHS (GB) National Championship Show on 2 & 3 September 2023 at Onley Equestrian Centre, Onley Grounds Farm, Willoughby, Rugby, Warwickshire CV23 8AJ.

In the final, there will be three preliminary classes with the two highest placed semi-finalists from each class going forward to the Championship where the Champion will receive £500 and the Reserve Champion £150.
SHB (GB) Day Tickets
Day tickets at a cost of £36 are required to compete in the following SHB (GB) classes: 1 - 8, 18 - 21, 23 - 28 & 30. (the Day Ticket entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 shows in the year at £36 per show, it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB (GB) office within 14 days.
BSHA Day Tickets
Day Tickets are required to compete in the following BSHA classes: 10, 32 - 35 & 46 - 49.
Competitors and Horses need to be registered or have temporary membership with a Day Ticket. Horses registered with the Association must be Owned, Exhibited and Ridden by current BSHA Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry form. DAY TICKETS: Non-Members may purchase up to a maximum of 2 Day Tickets per Exhibitor, per horse, per season. A Day Ticket will not allow entry into RIHS or HOYS qualifying classes. Horses registered on a Day Ticket do not require a JMB height Certificate. Competitors can apply for a Day Ticket by downloading an application form from the BSHA website.
Hunter Brood Mares Premium Awards
Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain offers one Premium in the following classes: 21, 28 & 30.
The Premium will take the form of a service voucher valued at £100 to be used for the service of the mare by any graded of life approved Premium stallion in 2024 or 2025. The Premium will be awarded at the Judges discretion to his selection from the prize winners. The winning mare must already be registered with SHB (GB) and the Owner must be or become a fully paid up member. Only one award per year may be accepted. Only to be awarded if a minimum of three mares are forward.
The Langaller Farm Brood Mare Premium Award
Entries within the following classes are eligible for this award: 21, 28, 30, 35 & 49.
This takes the form of a rosette and a voucher worth £75 to be awarded to the highest placed Brood Mare in the above mentioned classes and is redeemable against any stud fee for a stallion standing at Langaller Farm during the current or following stud season. Only one award per mare per season. Where the winning mare has already won a voucher in the current year the award goes to the next highest placed eligible mare. Additional Rosettes
Where not already allocated, rosettes will be awarded on the following basis:
A 4th Prize Rosette in Classes with at least 8 entries.
A 5th Prize Rosette in Classes with at least 10 entries.
A 6th Prize Rosette in Classes with at least 12 entries.
