Show Description

Our equine classes cover horses, ponies and donkeys, as well as driving and heavy horse classes. With affiliation to some of the top competitions in the country, including RIHS, you are guaranteed a high standard of competition.

IMPORTANT NOTICES TO HORSE EXHIBITORS

Stabling
Stabling contractors - Cheval Starbox Ltd.
Exhibitors requiring Horse Boxes must notify their requirements at the time of entry.
Stabling will only be available on the night before / day of showing. All exhibitors must vacate boxes by 6.00 pm unless they have reserved the box for other nights.
Please note that stables are NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Any exhibitor may book boxes if desired and pay £42.00 per box, per night, to include straw. The proviso is that if boxes are oversubscribed the Association reserves the right to restrict the booking of stables for those exhibitors only showing on one day.

Equine Passports
It is the responsibility of the Exhibitors to bring their Horse Passports with them to the Show. Random spot checks are likely to be undertaken by enforcing agencies and if Veterinary medical treatment may be required.

Arrival, Departure and Parades
Horse exhibits may arrive on the day of judging at the time stated for each section. The first TWO Prize Winners in each Class will be required to join the appropriate Horse / Pony Parade and failure to parade, without written authority from the Secretary will result in Prize Money being forfeited. Others may leave after noon each day. The judging of any class may be advanced by 15 minutes ahead of the time shown in the programme.

Caravans
Exhibitors bringing their caravan to the Show must place it in the General Caravan Park at a fee of £13.50 per night. Applications for passes should be made to the Secretary.

HM THE QUEEN’S CUP FOR THE BEST LIGHT HORSE IN THE SHOW - THIS WILL BE JUDGED ON THE FIRST DAY AT 2.30pm IN RING TWO.
Horses to qualify are: The Champion Ridden Hunter, Winner of Ladies Side Saddle, Champion Riding Horse, Champion Ridden Hack, Champion Ridden Cob, Winner of Maxi Cob, Champion of Small Hunter Brood Mare & Young Stock Classes, Champion of Hunter Brood Mare & Young Stock Classes and Champion of Riding Horse Brood Mare & Young Stock Classes.

ROYAL CORNWALL IN-HAND CHAMPIONSHIP & THE PRICE FAMILY SUPREME IN-HAND CHAMPIONSHIP - JUDGED ON THE 2nd DAY
Champion Small Hunter Breeding, Champion Hunter Breeding, Champion Riding Horse Breeding & Champion Skewbald & Piebald must remain until the Second Day if they wish to compete for the Royal Cornwall In-Hand Championship & The Price Family Supreme In-Hand Championship. Boxes will be found for those who have to stay on payment of £42.00 per box to include straw.

Additional Rosettes, where not already allocated, will be awarded on the following basis:
A 4th Prize Rosette in Classes with at least 8 entries.
A 5th Prize Rosette in Classes with at least 10 entries.
A 6th Prize Rosette in Classes with at least 12 entries.
