Equine Schedule

CLOSING DATE FOR HORSE ENTRIES: Saturday 11th JULY
early entries are always appreciated.

There will be no on the day facility for entries for the Show jumping.
All entries must be made in advance of the show.

(PLEASE NOTE LATE ENTRIES ARE NOT ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES)

All competitors will receive their Vehicle Pass and Admission Wristbands to enter the
Showground in advance. Additional grooms who have not been allocated a ticket via an entry
will be charged on the gate, and there will be no refunds.

EXHIBITOR ADMISSION
Each Exhibitor will receive two e-tickets, which can be exchanged for Wristbands to be worn by the Rider, Driver or Exhibitor/person on foot at gate 4 or 5. Exhibitors entering between 3-4 classes will receive a 3rd E-ticket. Exhibitors entering 5 or more classes will receive a E-ticket. All Horse Exhibitors entering the showground must be wearing a wristband. Anyone without an appropriate wristband will be charged the full admission on the gate. Children under 16 with an accompanying adult enter the show FOC and do not require a wristband.

BEST HUNTER IN SHOW – to be judged in ring 1 by Mrs Caroline Taylor.
Champion and reserve Ridden Hunter and Champion and reserve Working Hunter

The Best Hunter In Show and Reserve will then go forward to the SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP.

NPS/Blackertor and Sharptor Studs MandM In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship –
To be judged in ring 3 by Mrs P Balch.

A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony
owned by an NPS Qualifying or life member in the NPS affiliated Mountain & Moorland In Hand
Sections (Champion and Reserve Dartmoor, Shetland, Miniature Shetland, Welsh and Mixed
MandM to compete). Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/
or qualification.

NPS/Blackertor and Sharptor Studs MandM In Hand Silver Medal Champion and Reserve will
then go forward to Best Pony In Show

BEST PONY IN SHOW –
To be judged in ring 2 by Mrs P Balch,
Those who are eligible to compete are as follows :- Champion Children’s Ridden Pony, Champion
Pony Breeding, Best Local Pony, NPS MandM In Hand Silver Medal Champion and Reserve, Mini
Champion Ridden Mountain and Moorland, Open Champion Ridden Mountain and Moorland.

The Best Pony In Show and Reserve will then go forward to the SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP.

SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP
To be judged In ring 1 by
Those who are eligible to compete are as follows :- Best Hunter in Show Hunter and Reserve,
Champion Arab, Anglo Arab or Part Bred Arab, Champion Skewbald or Piebald, Champion Heavy
Horse, Champion RoR, Champion Spotted, Champion Veteran, Winner of the Ridden Arab, Anglo
Arab or Part Bred Arab Class, Winner of the Ridden RoR, Winner of the Ridden Spotted, Winner of
the Ridden Veteran, Winner of the Ridden Skewbald or Piebald Class, Winner of the Side Saddle
Class, Best Pony in Show and Reserve Best Pony in Show.

The Noel Edmonds Perpetual Challenge Cup to the Supreme Champion. A Cash Prize of
£50.00 is awarded to the Supreme Champion
A Cash Prize of £25.00 is awarded to the Reserve Supreme
The Calmady-Hamlyn Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented by Lt.Col.V. W. Calmady-Hamlyn
to the Best Hunter In Show (Led or Ridden, to be presented within the Supreme championship)
A Cash Prize of £45.00 is awarded to the Best Hunter In Show
The Madge Bros. Perpetual Challenge Cup to the Best Pony In Show (Led or Ridden, to be
presented within the Supreme championship).
A Cash Prize of £45.00 is awarded to the Best Pony In Show
PRESENTATION OF CUPS, TROPHIES & AWARDS
The above Cups and Trophies will be presented in the Main Ring during the Grand Parade
together with the Mrs P D Voaden Perpetual Challenge Cup for the Champion Heavy Horse
and the Okehampton Show Perpetual Challenge Cup to the Best Decorated Heavy Horse.
The Exhibitor winning the Alfie Reed Cup are requested to come forward immediately after the
completion of Judging to receive their awards.
