Show Description

British Showjumping Classes at the North Somerset Show.
Please read the rules at the beginning of the horse section. Also:
i. The North Somerset Show is affiliated to the British Show Jumping and all Show Jumping classes will be judged in accordance with British Show Jumping rules.
ii. Full entry fees must be remitted with each entry. Refunds will be made in accordance with rule 79.5.
iii. All entries must include a photocopy of the registration card of the owner, horse and rider.
iv. Entries in classes 300-306 are confined to registered horses to be ridden by members in accordance with rule 79.
v. Rule 82.21: “No member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to attend a show, compete or be prepared to compete in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other horses/ponies, competitors and members of the public are not put at risk of injury.”
vi. When jumping in the Ring, the practice or collecting areas, all Riders must wear protective headgear, according to the current standards as listed below:
All PAS 015; VG1; (BS)EN1384 2017; ASTM F1163 04a onwards; SNELL E2001; SNELL E2016; AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards; Skullcaps must be of, or worn with, a dark coloured plain peaked cover. Refer to your Society/ Association Rule Book for further clarification. Correctly secured Skull Caps/Riding Hats that meet one of the following current Safety Standards/ specifications MUST be worn by all Riders between the ages of 15 to 17 inclusive. All PAS 015; VG1; (BS) EN1384 2017; ASTM F1163 04a onwards; SNELL E2001; SNELL E2016; AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards. The most recent updates to the list are the addition of SNELL E2016 and EN1384 (2017); the newest version of the SNELL Standard could have begun to appear in 2017 and is accepted to the list; the newest version of the EN1384 Standard will begin to appear during 2018 and is also accepted to the list.
