We are pleased to give the following information for the 2024 Cattle section:
Tuesday Entries are for the Dairy Cattle and Dexter breed. The animals may arrive after 2.00pm on Monday 29th July and penning should be booked when making your entries.
Wednesday is typically our Beef cattle day and Thursday comprises of our Commercial classes, Rare Traditional British and Native origin breeds and ends the day with our native Beef, Continental and Interbreed Pairs. We have Dexter pairs and groups also on Thursday.
Each day has Showmanship classes which are enjoyable for all ages - even including our Veteran handlers!
This year we are operating a sliding scale for the Prize Money in relation to entries in the classes as the table below:

1 - 3 1st and 2nd 1st £30
2nd £20
4 - 5 1st, 2nd and 3rd 3rd £15
6 - 7 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th 4th £10
The Best Promotional Cattle Stand of The Day will be awarded to the of the tidiest and best presented/most informative stand and herd promotion.
