OPEN ART EXHIBITION
The New Forest Agricultural Show Society are pleased to invite artists, both amateur and professional to exhibit and sell some of their work in our very popular marquee at the New Forest & Hampshire County Show 2024.
A maximum of four Pictures (1 Painting max size 50" x 40" plus 2 max size 20" x 16" OR 4 Paintings max size 20" x 16" and 3 3D works if entering Pictures otherwise a maximum of 6 3D works) can be entered per artist. The entry fee is £30 and a 25% commission will be taken on any works sold. The £30 fee also entitles entry of up to 30 cards @ £2.50 each (of which 50p is retained by the New Forest Show) as well as up to 6 mounted and wrapped high quality unframed original prints/paintings for which 25% commission will be applied.
Entries will close on Monday 19th July or once the maximum of 400 works has been achieved. Any entries received after this date will not be accepted. The Society can only accept pictures or paintings no larger than 50” x 40” and with a value between £75 and £1000 and in the case of 3D less than 36” in height.
The Society will not display pictures or paintings that do not have the correct fixings for hanging (D Rings and Cord). See Terms and Conditions No 6.
The New Forest Agricultural Show Society does not provide insurance for any works exhibited at the Show, however excellent security services will be in place during the Show.
As in previous years, we would be very grateful to receive assistance with the following roles within the Art Pavilion for the duration of the Show:
• Watchers / Minglers
• Fire Exit minders / Picture movers
• Sales desk assistants
We are eager for demonstrators for painting, pottery or any other art related craft for within the marquee, workshops to be held in addition to demos so please do contact us if you are able to help, we look forward to hearing from you.
