Open to all breeds.
It is a condition of entry that exhibitors ensure that handlers must have the necessary strength and experience to cope with foreseeable problems.
Animals should not be left unattended. All exhibitors must hold a current public liability policy at the time of the show.

Judging to commence at 9.15 a.m.
Class 308 (Turn Out) will be judged in the Main Ring with the Parade which will include all entrants in classes judged in the Horse Ring.
Prize money will be forfeit from Classes 300 to 308 if not present at the Parade. Competitors to be in smart dress.

Classes 300-304 and 306 are qualifiers for the Wessex Heavy Horse Show

Award for the Best Shod Horse sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Farriers.
Judge: Mr Nigel Perrott Dip Wcf
The Judge will examine each horse before or during the line-up for preliminary judging, taking into consideration:
(a) The condition of the feet
(b) The making (or preparation) and fitting of the shoes
(c) The Nailing and the position of the clips

Normal shoes and showing plates are equally acceptable, providing they are suitable for the horse.

The Worshipful Company of Farriers will award:
- A Rosette and an Inscribed Card to the Winner in each Class
- A brass plaque to the overall winner
- A brass plaque to the Registered Farrier responsible for its feet and shoeing.
- THE OVERALL WINNER WILL GO FORWARD FOR THE NATIONAL BEST SHOD COMPETITION
