NOTES FOR CLASS 281
1. Goats must be officially recorded.
2. Certificate for the last lactation not exceeding 365 days, authenticated by the milk records secretary to be sent to the show secretary with your entry.
3. Judging will be on points as follows:
Each goat will be allocated milk recording points as follows: One point for each complete kg of butterfat and one point for each kg of protein. These points are added together. The goat with the least points will receive one 'recording point' and so on to the goat with the most points which receives as many points as there are goats present. The goats parade before the judge who will place them according to their respective merits. The goat placed last will receive one 'inspection point' and so on to the goat placed first which will receive as many 'inspection points' as there are goats present. Points are added together and the goat with the most points is the winner. In the event of a draw, the total milk yield will be taken into consideration
