The closing date for entries in this Section is – FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST 2026
STRICTLY NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.
All Exhibits must be on the show ground for 9am and staged by 9.30am, ready for judging. Exhibitors should allow for traffic hold-ups.
9.45am. PRODUCE, HORTICULTURE AND HANDICRAFTS SECTIONS JUDGING begins (the tents will be open to the public after judging is completed).
Exhibits in this section will be under the supervision of the stewards until 4.30 pm.
At all times the exhibits will be at owner’s risk.
The Produce, Handicraft and Horticulture marquee is located at the Southern end of the showfield.
Exhibitors should use the Conistone gate (Gate C) and NOT the main showfield entrance.
A DROP OFF area for exhibits is available by the marquee entrance, this is sign posted accordingly. Please DO NOT park here, after leaving your exhibits please proceed to the nearest car park.
Prize money to be claimed after 2.30 pm and before 4.30 pm on Show Day on presentation of exhibitor’s details at the stewards station, located in the Produce, Handicraft and Horticulture marquee.
Prizes:
Adults classes: 1st £6; 2nd £4; 3rd £3
Childrens Classes: 1st £3; 2nd £2.50; 3rd £2; 4th £1.50.
Doyleys will be provided by the Society.
£1 per entry for all Adults classes. Childrens classes are free of charge.
Please note: At 4.25pm on Show Day the marquee will be closed to the general public. Exhibitors should report to the Steward between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm and, on production of their exhibitor’s details, may collect their exhibits.
PLEASE ensure you collect the correct exhibit.
All Exhibits to be made by the Exhibitor and if not to schedule may be disqualified – all children’s exhibits are to be their own unaided work.
Exhibitors in Local Classes must reside within the district of the Society (see Rules 2 and 7).
In the event of less than five entries in a class, prizes are awarded at the Judge’s discretion. Your entry numbers MUST be presented when collecting your exhibit.
Exhibitors paying £10 or more in entry fees will receive a free admit ticket to the show
Exhibitors paying £15 and above in entry fees will be entitled to free Showground car parking (Rule 23).
Those exhibitors whose entry fees total less than £15 but who want access to display tents to stage exhibits must pay parking fees at the gate and can have their money refunded if they pass out from the ground before 10.30 a.m.
