Show Description

Some important instructions

1) All sheep must be in the appropriate pen and all vehicles must be off the field by 9am. Judging will start from 10am.

2) All sheep movements must be accompanied by completed movement forms — one for the movement onto the show ground and one for the movement off. You will be sent these in advance with our details filled in. Please take the completed forms to the Livestock Secretary’s tent on arrival.

3) All classes are NON MV unless otherwise stated.
All exhibitors whose stock are in the DEFRA or S.A.C Sheep Health Scheme should ensure that their stock are accompanied by the necessary movement certificate on show day. Members of these health schemes should ensure that their animals are kept at least 2 metres away from non-scheme stock. You must present your MV accreditation forms at the Livestock Secretary’s tent on arrival before unloading any stock.

4) Exhibitors entering more than one breed section must ensure they have sufficient staff on hand for showing. In addition, we operate a one-way system, so when unloading please drive through and re-enter.

5) The Grand Parade will be held at 3:30pm. All Champions and First Prize Winners must take part, failure to do so will result in no prize money been given. Transport will be available to owners and their sheep to take them to the main ring.

6) Please remember you can enter Hay and a Fleece from this year’s clip on the day, see Hay and Fleece sections of schedule for information on classes.
