The Show is affiliated to the British Show Jumping Association, RoR, CHAPS, Veteran Horse Society, Palomino Society and the National Pony Society. All relevant classes will be run under the rules of these Associations.
All equines attending the Frome Agricultural & Cheese Show must be vaccinated and up to date against Equine Influenza.
Horses must have completed the primary course:
- 1st vaccination
- 2nd vaccination (21-92 days later)
Horses may compete after completing the primary course and before the first booster is due (150-215 days after the second vaccination).
A booster within the last 6 months is recommended; entries will be accepted where the most recent booster is within 12 months of the Show.
No horse may compete within 7 days of any Equine Influenza vaccination.
Horses showing signs of illness (coughing, nasal discharge, lethargy or fever) must not attend.
Vaccination certificates and passports will be checked in the Horse Tent before exhibitor numbers are issued.
No refunds will be given if vaccination requirements are not met.
Please note: No jewellery to be worn by competitors. All competitors and grooms entering the competition rings are required to wear presentable clothing and appropriate headgear.
