Open Ridden Hunter, 4 years old or over exceeding 158cm (15.2hhs)
The judge will not ride exhibits in this class.

Small Ridden Hunter, Mare or gelding 4 years or over. Height exceeding 148cm (14.2hh) but not exceeding 158cm (15.2hh). Animals can not be shown in Small Hunter Class and a weight class at the same show

Brood Mare with own Foal at Foot (or relevant certificate of pregnancy for following year to be inspected at the Show)

Colt Foal with Mare in Class 16, Foals must be at least 3 weeks old on the day of the Show

Filly Foal with Mare in Class 16, Foals must be at least 3 weeks old on the day of the Show

Yearling Hunter, Colt, Gelding or Filly - Foaled in 2025

Two and Three Year Old Hunters, Colt, Gelding or Filly - foaled in 2024

LIHS Rising Star Racehorse to Show Horse. Mare or Gelding, 4 years old or over, exceeding 148cm. Open to Thoroughbred and Arab hoses retired from race training. Rider to be 15yrs or over. The highest placed unqualified horse in the top 5 will qualify for the LIHS BSHA Open Racehorse to Show Horse Supreme Final at the LIHS in December. This class is open to all competitors who work within the racing industry. QUALIFICATION WILL BE CONFIRMED BY EMAIL ONCE FULL LIHS QUALIFIED MEMBERSHIP AND HORSE REGISTRATION IS COMPLETED WITHIN 14 DAYS OF QUALIFICATION. Please note LIHS Qualifier-Eligible membership must be in place before entering any BSHA LIHS qualifying class.
The judge will not ride exhibits.
In addition, the two highest place unqualified horses will qualify for the BSHA Open Racehorse to Show Horse final at the BSHA National Championship Show in September. Associate Rising Star Qualification Cards will be awarded in the ring.

Competitors and horses must hold a minimum of LIHS Qualifier Eligible Membership/Horse Registration with the Association to be eligible to compete in the LIHS BSHA Showing series. Any competitor who qualifies for a LIHS Showing Series Supreme Final, must then complete full LIHS Qualified registration within 14days of qualification to stand, or it will pass to the next eligible exhibit, (the normal cost of Qualifier-Eligible membership will be taken off the cost of Full LIHS registration). Any competitors/ horses which have existing BSHA membership/ registration for 2026 will not be required to complete any LIHS Membership/Registration for these classes.

DIRECT QUALIFIERS FOR FINALS AT LONDON INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW. Classes 21 + 22 qualify for the LIHS BSHA Rising Star Supreme Finals at the London International Horse Show, highest placed unqualified in top 5 to qualify.
A results points table will run for all qualifying classes and a 'wild card' will be awarded to those unqualified with the highest points in each section following the final qualifier.

The highest placed unqualified horse in the top 5 will qualify for the LIHS BSHA Rising Star Cob Supreme Final at the LIHS in December. This class is open to all competitors.

Tiny Tots Lead Rein Pony, Mare of Gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January, 2026. Snaffle bridles only. Lead Rein to be attached to nose band only. All ponies to be plaited unless a native breed.
All competitors will receive a rosette.

Open First Ridden Pony, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January 2026. All ponies to be plaited unless a native breed.

Mixed Height Open Show Pony, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 148cm. Riders must be correct age for the height of pony they ride. All ponies to be plaited.

Mixed Height Open Show Pony, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old or over. Not exceeding 153cms. Riders must be correct age for the height of pony they ride. All ponies to be plaited.

Local Ridden Pony, not exceeding 148cm. Suitable for and to be ridden by a rider aged 16 and under and living with a 22 mile radius of Driffield Showground. Turnout taken into consideration. No lead reins allowed. Pony or rider must not be registered with BSPS, NPS or Ponies UK

Fancy Dress, open to all ages or rider. Any breed, height and age of horse/pony. Can be mounted or in hand.

Ridden Veteran, Mare or Gelding, over 15 years old, any breed or height. No galloping is allowed in this class. No spurs to be worn. Rider any age. Lead reins are permitted.

CHAPS (UK) Open Ridden Qualifier, Native, Non Native, Cob, Traditional, Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Any height. No stallions. Rider any age.

Mountain and Moorland Ridden, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. No stallions. Registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh Section A or B. Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh Section C or D. Rider any age. No lead reins.

Open Mountain and Moorland In Hand, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over. No stallions. Registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh Section A or B. Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh Section C or D. Handler any age.

CHAPS (UK) Open In Hand Qualifier, Native, Non Native, Cob, Traditional. Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Any height. Handler any age. No foals. No stallions

In Hand Local Horse/Pony, Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over, living within a 22mile radius of Driffield Showground. Turnout taken into consideration. Handler any age.
