Cumberland Agricultural Society Heavy Horse and Light Horse Section 2022
Entry 2022 – Wristband passes. Two wristbands will be allocated to the first horse, one for each subsequent horse up to a maximum of four wristbands. Wristbands must be worn on entry to the Showground. Anybody without a wristband will be charged for entry.
Parking - All light Horses and working hunter competitors must park as directed by official parking attendants. To gain access to the show rings all competitors must use the horse walk ways provided.
Start Times - Start Times - Please note that there may be some traffic congestion leading up to and on the show field, therefore please allow plenty of time to arrive and prepare for your class. A timetable with start times/or not before times will be available no later than 24 hours before show day. Under no circumstances will judging be delayed due to either the late arrival of competitors or to accommodate a competitor in another ring. Exhibits will not be allowed into the show ring once the command for trot has been given (ridden classes) or judging has commenced (In hand classes).
Competitor Numbers – Will be issued in advance of the show. Please ensure you are wearing the correct number for each of your classes as detailed in the catalogue. Failure to do so could jeopardise your qualification.
Insufficient entries - The Committee reserve the right to amalgamate or split classes if necessary.
Prize money – The society awards prize money 1st £20; 2nd £10; 3rd £5 unless otherwise stated. Where classes have 3 or less animals entered only first prize money will be awarded in those classes.
Royal International Horse Show - The Ridden Hunter and Working Hunter sections offer qualifying classes to RIHS 2022. A levy of £10.00 per class is included in the entry fee, which the Cumberland Show pays directly to the RIHS. The Cumberland Agricultural Society or any of its servants cannot be held responsible for any missing or incorrect registration details supplied.

Champion of Champions – The Champion Heavy Horse, will be eligible to compete in the Cumberland Agricultural Society Champion of Champions competition in the Main Show Ring.
Equine Influenza - In keeping with current Showing Council guidelines, The Cumberland Show Equine Influenza policy is as follows: Equine Influenza and Tetanus vaccinations are a compulsory requirement for all horses attending the Cumberland County Show. The requirement for the first 3 vaccinations is as follows: the first 2 vaccinations 21 – 92 days apart, a third booster between 150-215 days, and an annual booster vaccination within 365 days thereafter. No horse should enter competitions within 7 days of an EI vaccination. Foals should commence vaccinations at 6 months old. This Rule may be subject to change from guidance from the FEI/BEF and any changes will be notified via the Showing Council and ASAO websites.
