Classes will be assigned to rings on the day of the show.

It is the responsibility of all Livestock Exhibitors to ensure that they have the correct DARD MC2 Document and any results as required by DARD regards movement of animals. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in animals and means of transport being refused admission to Show Grounds –
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
Any exhibitor who compromises the above shall be held responsible for any further actions that may follow.

DARD REGULATIONS MUST BE ADHERED TO!
ALL EXHBITORS MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE!
All exhibitors must hold valid public liability insurance for individual (or family insurance
if under 18) for livestock present on day of Show. (The exhibitor must notify their insurers they show Livestock)
Entries will not be accepted without the full ear tag number being recorded on the Entry Form.
• Cattle must not be unloaded until Permits are presented and cleared by officials at the Cattle Marquee.
• Exhibitor must show BVD Negative results certificate to enter the show.
• Numbers will only be given to exhibitors following the presentation of Permits.
• You are advised to bring your Sticker Book with you.
• Cattle ear tags will be checked on the day of the Show.
• A calf being shown with its dam must be the cow’s calf, and an embryo, and must not be more than 10 months of age on the day of Show. Full details of the calf to be included on the Entry Form.
• An animal cannot be entered in the Native and Traditional Cattle Section if the Show provides a Breed Class for that animal.

RULES
SAFETY – To comply with safety requirements, animals of suspect temperament must NOT be presented at this Show. All bulls 10 months old and over must be shown with a nose ring and all females and bullocks 10 months old and over must be shown in a snaffle.
Exhibitors’ attention is drawn to the Health and Safety Executive Guidance regarding the safe custody and handling of Bulls at Agricultural Shows.
Substitution of entries is NOT allowed (unless stated separately in the Breed Specific Regulations).

Showing Ring Dress Guide: All exhibitors, stockpersons, and grooms must be appropriately dressed.
All exhibitors are under the jurisdiction of the Judge until the Class has been completed and must stay in the ring throughout the Class unless instructed otherwise by either the Judge or the Steward. If any exhibitor leaves the ring before Judging is completed they forfeit all prize money.

Protests: Any protest must be lodged in writing within one hour of the Class being Judged and accompanied by a deposit of £50. The protest must be handed in at the Show Office. The protest will be considered by a Committee chaired by the Show Chairperson or the Cattle Chairperson and the Committee’s decision is final.

Responsibilities of Exhibitors: It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure they arrive on the Showgrounds in sufficient time for the commencement of their Classes. Any ring timetables publicised are provisional and may be subject to change. The Show will not accept responsibility for any exhibitor missing their Class(es).

Prize Money: If prize winners are required to Parade in the main ring, or elsewhere, they must do do. Any Prize winner who does not attend will forfeit all prize money.
Where the livestock handler is a Junior, any livestock movement across the site will be controlled by a competent livestock handler.
The Show reserves the right to scan prize winners for any sign of interference.

STALLING: In the interest of safety, all animals presented at this Show must be tied to the rail provided. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in being prohibited from showing.

NO ANIMALS TO BE TIED TO TRAILERS OR SHOW RINGS!
Space will be allocated on the basis approximately 1.1 metre per entry (where a cow is accompanied by her calf and the latter is not entered for a Class, this should be noted on the Entry Form).

WASH AREA PROVIDED.

The Committee reserves the right to amalgamate Classes if insufficient entries are received.
