CATTLE SECTION

ENTRY AND STALLING FEE SCHEME:
Exhibitors are asked to ensure that they are clean and smartly dressed when in the judging rings. Any number of animals may be entered but Exhibitors must reserve STALLS for the number of animals they intend to bring to the Show. The scheme will enable Exhibitors to bring any of the animals entered, equal to the number of stalls booked. No straw will be provided.

Members: £17.00 each inc. VAT
Non Members: £22.00 each inc. VAT

PRIZE MONEY AND ROSETTES IN ALL CATTLE CLASSES:
1st £40: 2nd £30: 3rd £20: 4th £10
unless shown otherwise

PRIZE CARDS IN ALL CATTLE CLASSES:
1st - 3rd

CATTLE ENTRIES
Stall bookings (BEEF & DAIRY) together with full remittance must be received by the Secretary not later than 1st August 2023. The appropriate entry form for each stall booked will be forwarded with admission tickets a few weeks before the Show. These dates will be strictly adhered to as a catalogue of entries has to be produced by the Show day. Failure to meet these deadlines will entail disqualification and forfeit of all fees paid.

Exhibitor advertising is limited to a banner above the stalls booked by the Exhibitor.

No cattle are allowed onto the Showground until 5pm on Wednesday 30th August as there will be a 24 hour rule in place. If the Exhibitor is not staying overnight with their Cattle, they must ensure that another person staying on site is responsible for their animals and inform the Chief Cattle Steward.

All Livestock Handlers are to adhere to a smart standard of dress when showing animals. Failure to do so may result in prize money begin withheld.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE AWARE OF DEFRA INFORMATION REGARDING CATTLE MOVEMENTS & HEALTH REGULATIONS. N.B. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any change of policies/legislation etc. The Association expects all exhibitors to observe best practice at all times regarding animal welfare and bio-security regulations. Anybody found not complying will be asked to leave the Showground immediately. All stock will be returned to the holding and no refund of entry fees or prize money, if applicable, will be forwarded.

TB TESTING
ALL CATTLE MUST PRESENT A CLEAR 60 DAY TB TESTING CERTIFICATE ON ENTRY TO THE SHOWGROUND.

Barcode labels will be available from the Chief Steward at the Show.

MILK RECEPTION
A Milking Parlour will be provided. The Association will not purchase any milk.
No generators are to be used in the Cattle lines, for health and safety reasons.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE - ALL BEEF & DAIRY CLASSES JUDGING STARTS @ 8.30 AM,

All Cattle must be on the Showground by 8.00am on 31st August and may leave the Showground after 4.00pm.

Any animal deemed to be out of control must be removed from the Showground forthwith.

All prize winners must take part in the Grand Parade or prize money may be withheld.

If insufficient entries are received in any sections they may be transferred or amalgamated.
