Bake and Create Classes
Regulations
1.The competition is OPEN to all individuals
2. Every Exhibit must be the work of the Exhibitor and MUST NOT HAVE BEEN EXHIBITED at a previous Border Union Show. All Knitting must be hand done.
3. One entry only allowed in each class per exhibitor.
4. Entry Fee of 50p for each exhibit is payable at the time of entry.
5. Exhibits will be received at the Bake and Create Section (Thorburn Building behind main hall) Between 9am and 10am on Friday 25th July (The green gate will be closed to all traffic from 10am)
6. Judging will commence at 10.30am on Friday
7. The hall will be open to the public on Friday afternoon Approx. 1.30pm to 5.30pm, and on Saturday from 9am till 4.30pm. The exhibits will be kept in safety overnight. Trophies wil be presented at 4.30pm on Saturday, exhibits can be removed immediately afterwards. No entry for cars before 5.30pm. All Exhibits unclaimed by 6.00pm will be disposed of to charities.
8. The following prizes will be awarded in each class—1st, 2nd, 3rd. Highly Commended will be awarded in classes with 12 or more entries. Children’s classes at judges discretion.
9. Judges decision is final.
10. In the case of a tie for the Cup Winner in any section, the cup will be awarded to the competitor with the highest awards.
11. Exhibitors who have 12 or more entries will receive a free pass to the showground on Saturday 27th July
12. Entries (with entry fee) to be in the hands of Ms Sarah Plummer, 2
Carham Cottage, Cornhill on Tweed TD12 4RW No Later than Friday 18th July.
13. Entry money may be paid by BACS online to BUAS Bank of Scotland
Account Sort code 80-16-57 Account No 00115245. Please use surname as reference.
14. Prize winners will receive their prize money at the entrance to the hall on Saturday.
