Cereal Competition

Show Description

1. The competition is open to members of the Turriff District Agricultural Association.
2. Only one entry per business/company name is permitted in each of the following crop categories:
Winter Barley Winter Wheat Spring Barley (Malting or Feed) Spring Oats
3. Judging Criteria: Crops will be assessed based on Quality and potential yield, Uniformity, Freedom from weeds and
pests, Grain size & Estimated plant stand
4. Minimum Field Size: 4 hectares (9.88 acres).
5. Prizes will be awarded in each crop category as follows: 1st Prize – £30; 2nd Prize – £20; 3rd Prize – £10
6. Prize Money Payment:Prize money will be paid directly to your nominated bank account.
7. Judging Period: Crops will be judged in July.
8. A perpetual trophy will be awarded to the Best Overall Entry.
9. No entry fee.
