Show Description

All entries must be compliant with DEFRA and APHA regulations in force at the time of the Show.
All animal transport must enter the Showground and unload as directed by 8.30am when the public gates open. Vehicles must then remain clear of the Showfield until after the Grand Parade (approx 4.30pm).
MAEDI-VISNA: The Show will have two section, one for Scheme Accredited Sheep and one for Non-Scheme Accredited Sheep.
MV CERTIFICATES MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO UNLOADING
A limit of 2 entries per exhibitor, per class will be enforced.

Entry Fee: £3.00 unless otherwise stated (all sheep will be automatically entered in to the best woolled class)
Prize Money: 1st = £15, 2nd = £10, 3rd = £5, 4th = £3. Best woolled sheep in each section = £3

INTERBREED CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Champion Hill Sheep - Judge: Mr Bob Dickson
Breed champions from the following sections (along with others from mixed sections at the Steward's discretion) will qualify:
Kerry Hill, Manx Loaghtan, Cheviot, Scottish Blackface, Swaledale, Jacob.

Champion Longwool Sheep - Judge: Mr Chris Mudd
Breed champions from the following sections (along with others from mixed sections at the Steward's discretion) will qualify: Leicester Longwool, Wensleydale, Masham, Teeswater, Mule, Blue Faced Leicester, Valais Blacknose.

Champion Shortwool Sheep - Judge: Mr David Lee
Breed champions from the following sections (along with others from mixed sections at the Steward's discretion) will qualify: Suffolk, Texel (MV and non-MV), Charollais, Beltex, Zwartbles, Commercial Ram, Ryeland, Coloured Ryeland.
