Open to mares, geldings and stallions four year old and over, in possession of an equine passport but no specific registration or breed society criteria. Plaited ponies to a maximum of 153cms. Riders may only ride one pony in each class. Rider any age except stallions (see NPS rules.)

National Pony Society/Mole Valley Farmers WORKING HUNTER PONY OF THE YEAR

This competition is open to mares and geldings, four years old or over. Ponies must be registered with either NPS, UK Ponies & Horses, TSR, or BSPS and a valid JMB number lodged with that society. Riders and Owners must be members of either NPS, UK Ponies & Horses, TSR, or BSPS. Marks will be awarded in the following way: PHASE I (70 MARKS) A: JUMPING POINTS 50 MARKS B: STYLE WHILE JUMPING 20 MARKS PHASE II (30 MARKS) C: CONFORMATION, TYPE AND FREEDOM OF ACTION 20 MARKS D: MANNERS & WAY OF GOING 10 MARKS In the event of equality the TOTAL MARK from Phase 1 will take precedence, followed by the MANNERS Mark, and then the CONFORMATION, TYPE and FREEDOM OF ACTION MARK. This class is a qualifying class for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 6th - 10th October 2021. Qualification will not pass below 5th Place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office.

Won an open affiliated mixed M&M Ridden class ii. Qualified for Horse of the Year Show, Olympia or RIHS Open M&M Ridden classes iii. Qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship show (N.B. Ponies can compete as novices in this competition for two consecutive years provided they do not submit an entry to the final in the first year). 2020 is excluded when calculating consecutive years. iv. If a pony qualifies for Horse of the Year Show, Olympia or RIHS in its second year it is immediately de-noviced and cannot compete in the Picton Final. Ponies must be shown in a snaffle bit. The NPS/HORSEQUEST M&M In Hand Summer Championship - Shetlands

These classes are open to pure bred registered M&M ponies in the main body of their studbook. Owner’s membership cards must be shown in the ring to receive qualifications. Foals are not eligible. Classes 57 – 62 are affiliated to The Shetland Pony Studbook Society Classes must be confined to SPS-BS registered ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or to foals eligible for registration. Three-year-old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks oldon the day of the Show. In-hand stallions 2 years and over are advised to display a stallion bridle badge. Children under 14 years old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-hand classes. Children under 12 years old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 years or under in In-hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring.
