SSADL Home Produced Members Challenge Qualifiers
SSADL Home Produced Qualifiers are OPEN to both Members and Non-Members of SSADL. No spurs, No galloping, No wearing of face/body jewellery. Foals are NOT permitted in SSADL classes. For In-Hand classes, minimum age of handler is 10 years old. First ridden competitors will only canter in their individual shows.
Lead rein riders: if a strip section is required a lead rein rider MUST remain mounted
Stallions in either In-Hand or Ridden classes, competitors must be 16 years of age or over. Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given.
The same rider/handler/pony/horse must stay the same from qualifier to Grand Finals, unless special circumstances should arise, then it will be left to the discretion of the directors and advisory committee to oversee this rule if required.
ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING.

This year all members will receive their own qualification card. This is to be signed at the time of judging/presentation. It is the members responsibility to ensure the right qualifier is signed for.
• The 1st and 2nd from each AGE section will qualify for the SSADL Members Open Challenge (if a competitor has already qualified the qualification can be passed down no lower than 5th place).
• The two highest placed Mountain & Moorland ponies within a class will qualify for the SSADL Members Mountain & Moorland Challenge.
• The two highest placed Lead Rein/First Ridden ponies within a class will qualify for the SSADL Members Lead Rein/First Ridden Challenge.
• The two highest placed Foreign Breeds animals within a class will qualify for the SSADL Members Foreign Breeds Challenge.
• The winner from each class will qualify for the SSADL Senior of the Year Championship.
Once a member has filled their qualification card to the relevant classes, the card must be sent into the Office by normal post, no later than 30th August 2022. REMEMBER TO PHOTOCOPY YOUR CARD.
Non-Members qualification cards will be handed out in the ring to the two highest placed competitors in each section. These are for Non-Members ONLY.
Qualification cards MUST be returned to SSADL Head Office within the 10-day period of date of show along with a completed 2022 Membership form and payment made. Once a qualification card/membership is sent in correctly along with payment, only then will Members be eligible for the Members Challenge Preliminary Rounds and Challenge Finals to be held at the SSADL National Championship Show on the 9th, 10th, 11th September 2022 at Onley Grounds EC, Rugby, Warks.

SSADL London International Horse Show Direct Route Qualifiers 2022
Championship
1st and 2nd prizewinners from classes 44-49 to compete. The highest placed 2022 SSADL affiliated Rider/Handler and registered Horse/Pony will claim the LIHS ticket. The champion will go forward to the ?? Senior Showing Grand Final at the London International Horse Show on 17th December 2022.
If the Champion has already qualified, then the qualification will be handed down the line to the next eligible competitor.
DIRECT ROUTE QUALIFIERS are open to Members and Non-members. However, to claim the LIHS ticket a competitor must already be a 2022 Member. The members MUST produce the membership card or a covering letter from the SSAD Show Office to claim the LIHS ticket. The same rider/handler/pony/horse combination must stay the same for the Grand Final. No substitutions will be accepted. For a competitor to be able to compete at the LIHS Senior Showing Grand Final at ExCeL, all ponies/horses MUST meet the current FEI Vaccination Regulations.
Note – Once a competitor has qualified for LIHS in the Ridden section, they are not allowed to qualify in the In-Hand section and vice versa.
Competitors MUST produce both the above cards at the ring side before entry. NO CARDS, NO ENTRY.
SSADL RULES
NO SPURS, GALLOPING, WEARING OF FACE/BODY JEWELLERY. FOALS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN SSADL CLASSES. IN-HAND CLASSES MINIMUM AGE OF HANDLER - 11 YEARS
STALLIONS - EITHER IN-HAND OR RIDDEN COMPETITORS MUST BE OVER 16 YEARS OF AGE.
GROOMS MUST BE 16 YEARS OF AGE AND OVER AND CORRECTLY DRESSED. LEAD REIN COMPETITORS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO STRIP. FIRST RIDDEN PONIES WILL ONLY CANTER IN THEIR INDIVIDUAL SHOW.
SSADL AGE BADGES MUST BE WORN BY MEMBERS. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL DEEM DISQUALIFICATION
ALL STALLIONS MUST WEAR THE SSADL STALLION BADGE.
COMPETITORS CANNOT ENTER THE RING ONCE THE COMMAND OF TROT HAS BEEN GIVEN.
THE SAME RIDER/HANDLER/PONY/HORSE COMBINATION MUST STAY THE SAME AND MODE OF RIDING EITHER ASTRIDE OR SIDE SADDLE MUST ALSO REMAIN THE SAME FROM DIRECT ROUTE QUALIFIERS TO GRAND FINAL.
ALL COMPETITORS MUST ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING.
